A clarification for preps vs. ratings…there are 3 unmounted regional  knowledge sessions held each year for all spring and fall C2 candidates. These knowledge sessions take place in January, February and March. In addition, there is one mounted regional prep in the spring for spring C2 candidates  (if room is available then fall C2 candidates can participate in this spring prep.)  We then hold one mounted fall prep for fall C2 candidates.  In order to participate, you must pay a fee for unmounted prep sessions and a letter of intent to rate to the DC of your club.(these fees vary from year to year depending on what the region has to pay the examiners and facilities) . There is a separate fee for the mounted sessions of $25.00 per child. Again this fee may vary from year to year.

In order to do the rating you must submit your paperwork (which consists of your applications, medical release, activity release and a separate fee for the rating to your DC …who then passes it along to the RS and the organizer for that particular rating.
